Choosing your celebrant

Congratulations on your engagement! Now to plan an engagement party and set a date for the big day. But where to start? There are so many things to consider:

* The venue

* Who will be in your bridal party

* Celebrant/Officiant

* Photographer/Videographer

* Cars

* Florist

* Cake

* Wedding stylist

* Bomboniere ideas

* Rings

* Dresses

* Suits

* Honeymoon destinations

Wow - the list goes on! Many people will recommend suppliers to you from their experiences.

This blog is going to give you a few ideas on what should you look for when choosing your celebrant.

Most importantly, you need to feel comfortable with the person that will perform your ceremony. They play a pivotal role in the ceremony and the months leading up to it, crafting a ceremony to suit your wants and desires.

Another important factor is that the celebrant should listen to you, offer ideas and give you exactly what you want. After all it is all about you! And the ceremony should certainly reflect you two.

As celebrants run their own business, they are not bound by fees. Don't necessarily make it about the cost though. Sometimes paying a little extra will find you the perfect fit.

Search up on your choice of celebrant/s. Check out their facebook page and websites to see testimonials and reviews. Meet with your celebrant, tell them what your expectations are then make your decision from there.

Having been a marriage celebrant for over 10 years now, I have "married" many couples of varying ages and at many different locations and most of all I love what I do.

If you would like to meet up for a chat, don't hesitate to contact me via email - lifecels@gmail, my web page www.lifescelebrationsbysamantha.com or through facebook. I would be more than happy to pass on some information and also meet up with you for a cuppa.
