Popular music at Funerals

Samantha often gets asked to recommend music for funeral ceremonies. This is a very personal choice and there are literally millions of songs to choose from. Sometimes however the person who has passed did not like any music whatsoever so this can become a difficult task. You will see on the internet many lists of " Favourite songs played at funerals" but from Samantha's perspective, these would have to be the ten most popular at this time - not necessarily in this order

1. My Way - Frank Sinatra

2. Wind beneath my wings - Bette Midler

3. Unforgettable - Nat King Cole

4. We'll meet again - Vera Lynn

5. My heart will go on - Celine Dion

6. True Blue - John Williamson

7. Amazing Grace - Various artists

8. Time to say goodbye - Andre Bocelli and Sarah Brightman

9. What a wonderful world - Louis Armstrong

10. Never walk alone - Gerry and the Pacemakers
