Planning a wedding during Covid

To say that times are trying would be an understatement. It doesn't matter who we are, where we live or what we do, we are all affected in one way or another by the Covid pandemic.

Last year was tough with many of the couples who had engaged my services as a marriage celebrant having to postpone - many postponing for 12 months. A lot of those couples got married in February, March and April of this year, and whilst they had to wait a lot longer than they wanted, they are now married which is fantastic.

It is now happening again. As I write this blog, weddings are not even allowed to go ahead in Greater Sydney and so many couples have now postponed to next year. They are all hugely disappointed and stressed to the max, having to co-ordinate all of the service providers with whom they had been dealing with to see if they still have availability with the new date.

I feel for you all - I really do. The only consolation is that you will still get married - it will just be a little later than you would have liked.

Wishing everyone the very beset in their plans and in the coming months.

Please stay safe and take care - that is the most important thing
