Wedding Vows

I have written blogs on this subject before, however things always come up - fresh ideas and wordings, so it has prompted me to do another blog on wedding vows.

Weddings can and should be fun! It is undoubtedly right up there with one of the happiest days in anyone's life and it should be memorable.

When it comes to vows, you can say basically whatever you choose to say just as long as you state the legal wording from the Marriage Act 1961 which is:-

" I call upon the persons here present, to witness that I ABC, take you DEF to be my lawful wedded wife/husband/spouse"

After those words, the sky is the limit!

Some vows are funny, some are serious and all vows are heartfelt - that is the big moment that you can declare the love that you have for your partner in front of your nearest and dearest.

There are people who incorporate wordings from songs, poems or quotes which is a great idea.

One that I like is from A.A. Milne who said:-

"If ever there is tomorrow when we’re not together

There is something you must always remember

You are braver than you believe,

Stronger than you seem and smarter than you think.

But the most important thing is, even if we’re apart

I’ll always be with you"

Isn't that just beautiful?
