Why have a Naming Day?

People often enquire about Naming Days. Some are unsure of what a Naming Day is and why have one.

A Naming as opposed to a christening can be held in recognition of the new addition to your family and welcome that child in the presence of family and friends anywhere that your heart desires. It could be in your backyard, a park, the beach, a community hall - that is entirely up to you.

Godparents/Mentors/Sponsors/Guideparents can be appointed in the same way that you would if you were to hold a Christening.

Naming's allow your child to choose their own religion that they may wish to follow when they mature into young adults.

Life is all about choices- so you make the choice that is right for you and your family.

If you are looking for a relaxed, friendly and easy going celebrant contact Samantha - a meeting can be arranged to discuss your celebration.
